3. Memory Units: bit, byte, MB, GB, TB, and PB.

4. Boolean logic: NOT, AND, OR, NAND, NOR, XOR, NOT, truth tables and De Morgan’s laws, Logic circuits

5. Number System: numbers in base 2, 8, 16 and binary addition.

6. Encoding Schemes : ASCII, ISCII and Unicode 2

7. Concept of Compiler and Interpreter

8. Operating System (OS) - need for an operating system, brief introduction to functions of OS, user interface
